  • 1 lb ground beef (or preferred meat)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

  • 1 medium onion, diced

  • 2 garlic cloves, minced

  • 1 medium carrot, finely diced

  • 1 cup peas

  • 1 tablespoon tomato paste

  • ½ cup beef broth

  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme

  • 1 teaspoon paprika

  • Salt and pepper to taste

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour

  • 1 cup cold butter, cubed

  • ½ teaspoon salt

  • 6–7 tablespoons cold water

  • 1 egg (for egg wash)


Instructions

  • Heat olive oil in a pan and sauté onions, garlic, and carrots until soft.

  • Add ground beef and cook until browned.

  • Stir in tomato paste, peas, thyme, paprika, salt, and pepper.

  • Pour in broth and simmer until thickened. Let the filling cool slightly.

  • In a bowl, mix flour and salt, then cut in cold butter until crumbly.

  • Add cold water gradually and form a smooth dough. Chill 10–15 minutes.

  • Roll out the dough and cut into circles.

  • Spoon filling into the center of each circle and fold to seal.

  • Crimp edges with a fork and brush tops with egg wash.

  • Bake at 400°F for 20–25 minutes, or until golden and crisp.
