Ingredients

2 tbsp olive oil

1 onion, diced

3 garlic cloves, minced

1 lb (450 g) ground beef or Italian sausage

2 tbsp tomato paste

1 can (28 oz / 800 g) crushed tomatoes

4 cups (1 L) chicken or vegetable broth

1 tsp Italian seasoning

Salt, pepper, red pepper flakes (to taste)

8 lasagna noodles, broken into pieces

1 cup (240 ml) heavy cream

1 cup shredded mozzarella

1/2 cup ricotta cheese

Fresh basil, for garnish
Instructions

Heat olive oil, sauté onion and garlic.

Brown beef/sausage, drain fat.

Stir in tomato paste, tomatoes, broth, and seasonings. Simmer 10 min.

Add broken noodles, cook until tender.

Stir in cream, adjust seasoning.

Serve hot with mozzarella, ricotta, and basil on top.
